Document Control Associate I
General Definition
Verify the accuracy of various policy documents before and after being issued. Attach proper forms and/or policy jackets and prepare documents for mailing. Sort, prep and distribute work to various sections within the company.
Special Training, Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required
Prefer four-year college degree, business school, or comparable work experience.
Must be able to work independently, as well as work well with others.
Effective communication and writing skills required.
Handle repetitive work with accuracy.
Detail-oriented and analytical in order to quality check documents.
Ability to multi-task.
Personal computer experience and Microsoft Suite knowledge.
Major Duties of Position
Match computer generated output with new business applications or change requests and place them on the appropriate shelves for mailing.
Proof new business, policy changes, cancellations, renewals, reinstatements, letters or any other policy documents against the source documents for accuracy.
Prepare policies for mailing by attaching the policy jacket and insurance forms, inserting in the proper envelopes and placing in the correct carts.
Proof new business applications against policy analyst’s entries. Refer to policy analyst if corrections are required or release the policy for processing if no errors.
Date stamp and sort work and correspondence from the county offices into specified categories.
Distribute work to various sections, manually and by ImageRight, within the company.
Maintain an accurate count of work received for various sections and enter on spreadsheet.
Prepare commercial business for entry.
Maintain weekly production reports and submit to management by specified deadlines.
Assist other home office personnel when the need occurs.
Other duties as deemed necessary, or as developed and assigned by the supervisor.
