General Definition

Verify the accuracy of various policy documents before and after being issued. Attach proper forms and/or policy jackets and prepare documents for mailing. Sort, prep and distribute work to various sections within the company.

Special Training, Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required

  • Prefer four-year college degree, business school, or comparable work experience.

  • Must be able to work independently, as well as work well with others.

  • Effective communication and writing skills required.

  • Handle repetitive work with accuracy.

  • Detail-oriented and analytical in order to quality check documents.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Personal computer experience and Microsoft Suite knowledge.

Major Duties of Position

  • Match computer generated output with new business applications or change requests and place them on the appropriate shelves for mailing.

  • Proof new business, policy changes, cancellations, renewals, reinstatements, letters or any other policy documents against the source documents for accuracy.

  • Prepare policies for mailing by attaching the policy jacket and insurance forms, inserting in the proper envelopes and placing in the correct carts.

  • Proof new business applications against policy analyst’s entries. Refer to policy analyst if corrections are required or release the policy for processing if no errors.

  • Date stamp and sort work and correspondence from the county offices into specified categories.

  • Distribute work to various sections, manually and by ImageRight, within the company.

  • Maintain an accurate count of work received for various sections and enter on spreadsheet.

  • Prepare commercial business for entry.

  • Maintain weekly production reports and submit to management by specified deadlines.

  • Assist other home office personnel when the need occurs.

  • Other duties as deemed necessary, or as developed and assigned by the supervisor.
